Pets Haven Pro Life Animal Shelter is a facility that re-homes orphan cats, kittens and dogs and puppies who would otherwise have no future.
We do not euthanise animals for economic reasons. The only time an animal will be euthanised is in the case of aggressive temperament (with no hope for rehabilitation) or the animal is extremely unwell and the prognosis is not favourable.
Animals are rescued from death row pounds and are kept at our shelter while waiting to be adopted into a new home.
All animals in our care are vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and scanned for ringworm. Every animal is temperament tested prior to arrival at the shelter. The staff and volunteers then spend time getting to know each animal so that they can help prospective adopters make an educated decision on whether the animal they are interested in is suitable for them. If a Pets Haven staff member does not think an adoption is appropriate, the adoption will not proceed. The correct environment, home, lifestyle and family for our animals are our greatest concerns. Our animals have already gone through enough pain and uncertainty; they need homes that will last a lifetime.
We also take in unwell animals and provide the required veterinary treatment and after care. The animals that come to us mistreated, malnourished, abused or neglected often require extensive medical treatment and we always provide what they need to recover. Foster carers help immensely with this as they provide a wonderful, safe, loving home environment where the injured animal can recover.
Thank you for visiting our website, we hope we are able to help you find your perfect furkid. After adopting we can also help you get through any rough spots by offering training tips and other advice.
